Instructions:
New yoga mats have a protection coating that could make them slippery, wipe your yoga mat with soapy water or alcohol thoroughly and let it dry completely before using it for the first time to get better grip. The more you break in your mat the more grip you will get.
Regular cleaning of your yoga mat is recommended, dish soap or hypoallergenic laundry detergent are two of the best options for mild cleaners for your yoga mat. Avoid using too much detergent, mix 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of laundry detergent or dish soap for every 1 gallon (3.7 l) of warm water.
